OPENING UP MOUNTAIN LIVING | This three-level townhome in Steamboat Springs was originally designed as an efficient ski retreat, but its enclosed staircase and narrow galley kitchen limited the flow of the main living space.

We worked with Rumor Designs to reconfigure the layout, remove the central stair enclosure, and open up the connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. A floating staircase now anchors the main level, while custom dining room cabinetry adds storage and connects the kitchen and dining spaces. The remodel also included updated bathrooms, refreshed bedrooms, and a dedicated loft office.

The project preserves the home's practical footprint while making better use of its space, natural light, and connections across all three levels.
