Soda Mountain Construction remains dedicated to an unparalleled, quality product. We aspire to turn unique visions into works of art.
Rooted in Craft. Driven by Connection.
Soda Mountain isn’t on most maps. True places rarely are. In the summer you can get there with your hiking boots. In the winter sometimes with your skis and sometimes not at all. The right guide can make the journey.
Our team brings the right mix of experience, perspective, and respect for the long game. We show up, we listen, and we build with care. Wherever you’re going, we’ll take you there.
Get to know the people behind the process.

As President of Soda Mountain, Chris brings a strategic lens to every project, drawing on a background in commercial real estate development and private equity. Before joining the firm, he was employee number two at Four Points Funding, where he helped grow a $100M investment fund focused on multifamily housing across Colorado’s Western Slope. His work shaped everything from underwriting and acquisitions to project development and team building.
Chris also served as Director of Asset Management at Blue Sage Ventures in Steamboat Springs, where he led the redevelopment of 910 Yampa—an award-winning restoration in the heart of downtown.
A full member of the Urban Land Institute and Treasurer of Historic Routt County, Chris is committed to thoughtful growth and community preservation. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Chris is a self-described “failed ski-bum”. One winter spent in the restaurant bussing tables turned into a connection across the alley. He took to the building process quickly assisting an award-winning development in the heart of downtown.
He will tell you every problem is an opportunity. He’ll remind you “bad news doesn’t age well”. When asked what he does at Soda Mountain, he’ll say he works for the team.

Jon moved to Steamboat Springs over 30 years ago and has been building here ever since. What started as a summer job after high school quickly turned into a lifelong career in construction, with hands-on experience in everything from foundation work to fine finish carpentry.
After running his own custom building company for 15 years, Jon brings a depth of knowledge and an eye for detail that make him an incredibly efficient and trusted project manager. He’s passionate about the work, proud of what he builds, and always focused on getting it right.
As a third-generation builder, Buck grew up with a deep respect for craftsmanship, punctuality, and doing things the right way. He carried those values into every chapter of his career—from teaching in Penn State’s architecture department to serving ten years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He now continues to serve in Air Force Special Warfare as a National Guardsman.
After founding and running several companies, Buck returned to his roots in craft, earning a degree in fine furniture making from one of the country’s premier programs at Red Rocks in Denver. At Soda Mountain, he brings a rare blend of discipline, precision, and artistry to his role as Project Manager.
Buck is PMP-certified, a LEED Green Associate, and plays a key role in keeping our builds running smoothly—from sourcing the right tools and subcontractors to managing schedules, budgets, and client relationships.
Outside of work, you’ll find him horseback riding, hunting and fishing, ranching, or fueling his passion for vintage motorsport.
Kylie moved to Steamboat Springs in 2019, bringing with her a background in healthcare administration and a steady, solutions-oriented mindset. After five years as a Nursing Home Administrator, she was ready for a new challenge—and found it here at Soda Mountain.
As Project Coordinator, Kylie keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes. From managing administrative and marketing efforts to supporting the team and clients throughout the build process, she brings clarity, organization, and care to everything she does.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find her on the slopes or the trail, soaking up everything Steamboat has to offer.
