TIME OUT OF MIND | A contemporary Steamboat Springs retreat, lifted by high steel, opens up views across the valley.

Nestled within the Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club, steel was the name of the game.

With sixty-four helical piers supporting the foundation, the physical construction was not the only challenge. Maximizing the views of Steamboat resort while balancing the abundant Colorado Sunshine required thoughtful orientation of the home, appropriate roof over hangs, and technical shade construction.

In the end, we crafted a home that could change with each hour of the day.
